What is a Leprechaun?

A leprechaun is a type of Irish fairy of the Aos Sí in Irish folklore. Leprechauns are little red bearded men, wearing a green coat and hat. Leprechauns are mischievous fairies. Leprechauns are solitary wee folk, spending their time mending shoes. Irish folklore says leprechauns have a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
